I’m an international sports presenter and live event host working across stadiums, broadcast, and major global sporting events around the world.
My career spans over two decades across sport, media, and live performance, supporting rights holders, federations, and global brands in delivering moments that feel composed, connected, and unforgettable. From championship finals and first-tee introductions to athlete interviews, broadcast segments, and premium hospitality experiences, my focus is always the same: clarity, confidence, and connection under pressure.
From Broadcast to the World Stage
My career has taken me from sailing the world's seas and oceans as the onboard reporter for Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing to filming for CNN at the top of the world’s tallest building as Dubai’s Burj Khalifa lit up for the World Cup.
While the settings have changed, the role has remained constant: telling stories, guiding moments, and helping live events feel human, professional, and memorable for audiences and stakeholders alike.
Early Career & Media Foundations
My journey began in radio, studying Media Studies at Gateshead College before earning a degree in Media Production (Technology) at the University of Surrey.
During my time at university, I presented on student radio and was nominated for Best Male Presenter in the UK at the BBC Radio 1 Student Radio Awards. That led to presenting on the Capital Radio Network, where I spent several years broadcasting live from Leicester Square and hosting major outdoor music events, including the Party in the Park festival series.
International Broadcasting & Live Events
In 2008, I moved to Dubai to join Dubai 92 as part of the Arabian Radio Network, combining live broadcasting with hosting large-scale music and entertainment events across the region.
My focus soon shifted toward sport, becoming Head of Sport at Dubai Eye 103.8FM and anchoring the regional television show Sport on 7 for City 7 TV. During this period, I reported from major international sporting events, including the Melbourne Cup and the London Olympics, while hosting some of the Middle East and Asia’s leading industry awards and championship events.
Adventure, Global Sport & Broadcast

I later joined Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing as the team’s onboard reporter, attempting to sail around the world on what is widely regarded as one of the most demanding races in professional sport.
The role combined live reporting, media hosting, sponsor engagement, and international press duties across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. From typhoons in Southeast Asia to Atlantic crossings, it remains one of the most challenging and rewarding chapters of my career.
Following this, I reported for CNN from their Abu Dhabi headquarters before returning to London to work with BT Sport, CNN, and international news and sports agencies, presenting live studio content and producing short-form broadcast features.
Sports Travel Tom & Global Storytelling
In 2020, I launched Sports Travel Tom, a platform bringing together my passion for sport, travel, and adventure.
The project has since generated over 500,000 views and 25,000 hours of watch time, showcasing major sporting events and destinations around the world. The aim is simple: to help fans experience sport more deeply by understanding where to go, when to go, and how to make the most of every journey.
